What's in a fork?

Part of my research involves looking at found objects and collecting. I am an avid gatherer of 'treasure'.

Making by hand: Transforming a mass produced throw away into an object to covet.

Reproducing a simple one material shape. Can I enhance the appeal of the original?

I am working with my collection of found materials, I use discarded stuff and gathered materials to create work which has a narrative. Having researched the Transitional object (Winnicott).
I have temporarily simplified my approach to beginning a piece of work; I usually wait until the object suggests a narrative, but I have elected to work with a very simple discarded throw away fork which has been flattened,it's patina improved by the pavement.
I am looking in minute detail at proportions, material and qualities in an attempt to identify its particular charm, and why I needed to collect it.
